Day 1:
Friday Hotel transfer. Fly from Shanghai to Chongqing. Board your deluxe M.V. Emperor Ship and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin your memorable cruise downstream.
Day 2:
Saturday Departs Chongqing in the morning. In the afternoon, go ashore to visit Fengdu, the "Ghost City" where the Chinese believe the soul of the dead goes. The balance of the day is free to explore the ship's many amenities. Tonight you are our guests at the captain's cocktail party.

Day 3:
Sunday Cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges : Qutang Gorge framed by steep mossy cliffs. At Wushan transfer to a small cruiser for an exciting excursion on Little Three Gorges to view its breathtaking small gorges. Then, sail on through Wu Gorge celebrated for its 12 peaks. Next, sail through Xiling Gorge the last and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally,pass through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship Lock.

Day 4:
Monday This morning, stop at Sandouping to view the historic Three Gorges Dam project the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Reboard the ship and sail on to Yichang where you disembark. Fly to Shanghai. Transfer to hotel. MEALS: Breakfast
Upstream(Yichang->Chongqing)
Day 1:
Monday Hotel transfer. Fly to Yichang. Board your deluxe M.V. Emperor Ship and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin your memorable cruise upstream.
Day 2:
Tuesday Stop at San Dou Ping this morning to see the historic Three Gorges Dam project. Reboard the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.

Day 3:
Wednesday Early this morning, delight in Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan transfer to a motorboat for an exciting excursion on either Daning River to view their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and soon pass through the dramatic grandeur of Qutang Gorge, framed by steep cliffs.

Day 4:
Thursday Today's shore excursion shows the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze" in scenic Shibaozhai.

Day 5:
Friday Morning cruising through now-gentle countryside to Chongqing, where you disembark the ship. Fly to Shanghai. Hotel transfer.
